Our mission is to support you, the local landowner, contractor or woodworker with the desire to turn your trees and logs into valuable boards, lumber or timbers. Creating usable lumber products from local urban trees is one of our specialties. We custom mill logs of all species for many types of projects.
We maintain an inventory of table top, bar top, counter top, bench slabs and turning blocks milled from locally salvaged trees that may have been destined to go to firewood or the landfill. We have found that many of these trees are “damaged” in some way, either by insect, fungus or areas that have healed over. This produces spalting, ambrosia or highly figured areas. Ideal for that custom furniture piece.
We have an on-site solar kiln to allow us to uniformly dry up to 2000 board feet of lumber per load. We start the process by air drying, then move wood into the kiln, which allows us to dry to a 10% moisture content. This allows you start your project without the need to wait for your piece to dry.
